Our farm, in collaboration with a nearby local dairy, will help you organize this incredible tour to discover the secrets and traditions behind the typical local pecorino cheese.
This is an unconventional tour, an experiential-sensory tour where the five human senses (smell, hearing, sight, touch, taste) are stimulated, and it has cheese as a 360-degree common thread.
Starting at the sheepfold, continue by admiring the naturalistic spectacle of the Val d'Orcia with a walk to the famous Crete Senesi.
Cheese making: different processing techniques, with a chance to touch and see how cheese and ricotta are made, visits of the various aging cells.
Tasting: starting with Cinta Senese cured meats, Bio oil, carrots, citrioli, melon, tomatoes, Carasau bread (traditional Sardinian bread), Tuscan bread.
We continue with ricotta cheese vertical: freshly made ricotta, 3-day-old ricotta, 2-month aged salted ricotta. Freshly made cheese tasting and tasting of 7/8 types of cheeses.
